Lola brings a truly global perspective to luxury travel. Raised within a multicultural background, she spent her formative years between Africa and the Philippines—an early foundation that shaped her appreciation for culture, nuance, and world-class hospitality.
Lola began her journey into travel back in 2006 in Shanghai, where she worked with a China-based travel agency, building and curating travel arrangements in one of the world’s most dynamic travel markets. She later relocated to Dubai, where she worked at Starwood Hotels & Resorts leading marketing initiatives and experiences across more than ninety hotels throughout the Middle East.
During this time, Lola developed deep expertise in luxury travel and hospitality, including supporting the rebrand of the iconic W Abu Dhabi—then the first and only five-star hotel located on a Formula 1 race track—in preparation for the 2018 Formula 1 Grand Prix at Yas Marina Circuit. She later spent several years in Africa, managing regional marketing initiatives for Starwood Hotels across West and Central Africa.
After a twelve-year career in the Middle East and Africa, Lola expanded into the world of online travel, moving to Amsterdam to work with Booking.com before joining Expedia in London.
Today, The Retreat and Travel Co. represents a full-circle moment—where Lola brings together her global experience across luxury hospitality, online travel, and destination marketing to curate bespoke travel experiences for discerning clients worldwide.
